The highlight of the day was the arrival of a Yellow-browed Warbler in the Italian Gardens. Other migrants seen between Long Nab and Cornelian Bay were 1 Tree Pipit, 2 Yellow Wagtail, 19 Robin, 4 Song Thrush, 5 Blackcap, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 19 Chiffchaff and 6 Reed Bunting.
Passage was rather slow in the misty conditions but small numbers of waders provided some interest, on the move (south unless stated) were 11 Shelduck, 60 Common Scoter + 14 north, 6 Golden Plover, 2 Ringed Plover, 73 Dunlin, 1 Greenshank, 3 Snipe, 1 Jack Snipe, 1 Ruff, 2 Arctic Skua, 4 Little Gull north, 5 Common Tern, 10 Sandwich Tern north, 33 Meadow Pipit, 1 flava, 2 Starling, 1 Goldfinch and 5 Linnet.
Four Grey Plover were off Holbeck, at Scalby Mills there were 4 Ringed Plover and 4 Curlew and on Johnson's Marsh there were 5 Wigeon, 6 Teal and 23 Moorhen.
