A small arrival of migrants was evident along the coast, seen between Long Nab and Cornelian Bay were 4 Wheatear, 3 White Wagtail (Long Nab), 1 Tree Pipit (South Cliff), 16 Blackcap, 18 Whitethroat, 7 Lesser Whitethroat, 33 Chiffchaff, 8 Willow Warbler and 1 Goldcrest.
Also seen were 2 Garganey (drake and duck), 2 Shelduck and 2 Gadwall on Flotmanby Carr, single Red-throated Diver and Shag in North Bay, a Marsh Harrier and 14 Whimbrel on Star Carr, 13 Oystercathcer 9 Purple Sandpiper and a Whimbrel in Cornelain Bay, 20 Oystercatcher in Jackson's Bay, a Dunlin at Holbeck and 8 Lesser Whitethroat and 2 Sedge Warbler were at Seamer Tip.
On the move during the day (south unless stated) were 1 Red-throated Diver, 1 Shag north, 123 Gannet + 15 north, 98 Barnacle Geese (60 + 38), 4 Shelduck, 10 Common Scoter, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Curlew, 47 Black-headed Gull, 28 Common Gull, 578 Auk sp + 82 north, 2 Puffin, 6 Sandwich Tern, 12 Swallow, 2 Flava, 3 Alba, 17 Carrion Crow and 3 Goldfinch.
