Chiffchaffs arrived in higher numbers with 3 around Scalby Beck, one singing on Potter Brompton Carr and 2 in Cornelian Ravine, the latter appeared in the coastal scrub as the Solar Eclipse peaked!
Elsewhere 22 Teal were on Scalby Lodge Pond, 3 Ringed Plover were in Jackson's Bay, 92 Wigeon, 1 Teal, 5 Goosander and 1 Lapwing were at Scalby Mills, other sightings on Potter Brompton Carr were the female Scaup, 17 Teal, 1 Peregrine and 27 Golden Plover, 2 Goldeneye and a Shelduck were on Wykeham South Lake and a Red Kite was seen over the A64 near Scampston.
A trickle of passage along the coast throughout the day included (north unless stated) 5 Skylark, 104 Meadow Pipit, 1 Rock Pipit, 3 Alba, 3 Great Tit, 3 Magpie south, 7 Carrion Crow, 4 Linnet + 2 south and 1 Siskin south.
