Wednesday 29th March 2017

After the excitement of yesterday things were somewhat quieter today.

The 2♂ Garganey remained for another day on Johnson’s Marsh and this makes eight days so far for these stunning looking ducks.

At Long Nab there were 9 Shore Larks, 3 Wheatears and a Red-legged Partridge all to the north of the hut. Moving south we had 2 Sand Martins and 9 Teal at Cromer Point pond, a Grey Plover was in Jackson’s Bay and another Sand Martin was in the Scalby Nab/Beck area.

At Wykeham South Lake we had 3 Goldeneye, 10 Mute Swans and 3 singing Chiffchaffs and at Seamer Tip Pond we had another Sand Martin and 4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.

Finally in Cayton Bay the ♂ Eider had returned, the ♂ Long-tailed Duck was still present and there were also 3 Common Scoter and a Great Crested Grebe.
