The 2cy Glaucous Gull was seen again at Ravenscar today.

At Crossgates 2 Ravens flew east at 09.10 and 3 Black-tailed Godwits went west at 15.55.

Potter Brompton Carr produced a pair of Shovelers, 4 Egyptian Geese, a Little Egret, an arrival of Snipe with 21 Common and 2 Jack, 32 Fieldfares flew east, a pair of Willow Tits and a Willow Warbler. Meanwhile at Wykeham South Lake we had 2 Little Ringed Plovers by the life belt, 2 Goldeneye and 3 Sand Martins with 4 Pink-footed Geese and a Whooper Swan in the field to the south of the lake.

Some popular long stayers still remained in situ including 8 Shore Larks at Long Nab, the Great Grey Shrike at Maw Rigg, Langdale Forest and the 2♂ Garganey with 2 Shelduck and a Redshank at Johnson’s Marsh.

Finally a little further afield at Ellerburn there were a Mandarin Duck, 2 Goosanders, a Green Woodpecker and a Tawny Owl.
