Tuesday 27th November

There has been no further sighting of yesterday's Hume's Leaf Warbler at Seamer Road Mere. A drake Goosander and a drake Goldeneye remain there, plus a first winter Mediterranean Gull, and the Chiffchaff count has now risen to 6. Yesterday's 2 Great White Egrets also remain in the area, one at Burton Riggs and the other at Wykeham South Lake. 2 adult Mediterranean Gulls were also seen at Scalby Mills. A male Stonechat was spotted on the rock armour opposite the old Albert cafe site, Marine Drive. In Dalby Forest: 3 Nuthatches and 3 Marsh Tits were seen in the Low Dalby area, 20 Crossbills and 2 Willow Tits in Flax Dale, a Willow Tit at Sutherbruff Rigg, and 2 Willow Tits at Sneverdale. A Dunlin flew east over Seamer Tip Pool.

  1. So I have been growing and juicing my own wheatgrass. I very causally read the growing section of Ann Wigmores's book on growing wheatgrass and that, with my general knowledge of sprouting seeds, I figured out the relatively simple process.
