4 Nightjars were heard churring last night at Ebberston Common Moor, while 3 purring Turtle Doves, a Cuckoo, a Willow Tit, Tree Pipits and Crossbills were detected on an early morning survey in Dalby Forest. A Common Sandpiper was present at Wykeham South Lake, a Willow Tit was at Burton Riggs, and a Yellow Wagtail was at Metes Lane in Seamer. A morning watch at Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint saw Goshawk, Crossbills, Siskins, Tree Pipits, Bullfinch, and an appearance from the pale Honey Buzzard, though it was not displaying. 36 Herring Gull and 22 Fulmar nests were found at Cloughton Wyke, plus 10 Herring Gull and 2 Fulmar nests at The Hundales. 72 Sand Martins also have nest holes at Cloughton Wyke. Late this morning an Osprey was spotted over the A64/B1258 junction near West Knapton. The Little Egret remains at Johnson's Marsh.
