Tuesday 3rd December

Waxwings were at Willymath Close in Burniston again today - 13 this morning and 35 seen in the afternoon. A single Waxwing was again outside Cayton School. The Scaup remained at Burton Riggs, together with 2 redhead Goosanders. A Chiffchaff was in the hedge beside the A64 between Seamer and Crossgates, and 2 Snow Buntings were in the fields north of Long Nab. A Great Grey Shrike was spotted in a clearfell to the north of Ellerburn Bank. Apparently a large alien of Pink-footed Geese flew south over Burniston, but I suspect it was actually a skein!
