Friday 20th March

An Eider was in North Bay opposite the skate park this morning, and also a Great Crested Grebe in the afternoon. 19 Common Scoters and 150 Kittiwakes passed by Long Nab and 2 male Stonechats were near the observatory. 1200 or more Kittiwakes were back on the Castle Headland, and many also in the town centre, while Nuthatches, Greenfinches and singing Chiffchaffs, were in the Glen and near the Open Air Theatre. 3 Goldeneye (2 drake and 1 female) were at Seamer Road Mere, and a Curlew flew over Peasholm in the early evening.
