There was a Green Sandpiper at Northstile pool and 3 Willow Tits nearby, while at Wykeham South Lake there was a Little Egret and 2 Redshanks. A male Pied Flycatcher and a Red Kite were in Hutton Buscel, and a Red Kite also flew west over Wykeham Forest in the late afternoon. In Cornelian Bay there was a drake Common Scoter plus 6 Teal, 9 Sandwich Terns, a Common Sandpiper, a Whimbrel and 19 Curlew. 30+ Sandwich Terns were seen at Scalby Mills; a Redshank and 8 Turnstones were roosting at the harbour (one of them with a green over red colour ring, returning for its fourth year); and an adult Mediterranean Gull was on the rocks opposite the skate park. 83 Crossbills were seen flying east in the space of 90 minutes from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint this evening, with about another 20 present there. A Turtle Dove was again seen at Long Nab this evening plus the Hen Harrier, and the Little Egret was still at Johnson's Marsh.
