Monday 6th June

A dark blue phase Fulmar flew north at Long Nab this along with seven drake Teal, 45 Common Scoter and a Great Skua. A pair of copulating Teal were on Johnson's Marsh. 24 Fulmar nests, 24 Herring Gull nests and 13 active Sand Martin holes were counted at Cloughton Wyke and three Herring Gull nests were counted at The Hundales. Two Little Egrets were at Flotmanby Carr and a Hobby was 0over Wykeham Lakes this evening. Reasonable numbers of Willow Warblers, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff and Garden Warbler were noted at Sandybed Land and Long Causeway, Wykeham this morning along with two Common Buzzard, two Great Spotted Woodpecker, seven Yellowhammer and three Song Thrush being the pick of the bunch. Two Turtle Doves were on wires opposite The Mill Inn, Harwood Dale this evening. Two Nightjars and three Woodcock were at Givendale Rigg and Haw Dale, Dlaby and a Northern Goshawk was seen in Dalby Forest.
