Tuesday 14th June

A Blue phase Fulmar, 155 Manx Shearwaters, three Eiders, four Common/Arctic Terns and 94 Puffins passed north at Long Nab witha further 29 of the latter passing south. Highlights of the second BTO BBS visit to Sneaton Low Moor/May Beck area this morning were three Cuckoo, one Common Redstart, one Jay, 11 Siskin, nine Common Crossbills, two Garden Warblers and two Common Buzzards. Two recently fledged Stonechats were on roadside fence along the Ruswarp Road by the Woodsmith site along with five Mistle Thrushes. At least two churring Nightjars were at Birch Hall, Langdale Forest along with at least two roding Woodcocks
