The Long Nab area stole the thunder again during the day with more scarce migrants, the Wood Warbler remained in Hundale where a Red-breasted Flycatcher was also found, the first spring record for Scarborough. A little later a very vocal Marsh Warbler was found in Crook Ness where it remained throughout the day though usually stayed deep in cover which puts the year list on to a very respectable 199!
Common migrants were almost none existent, a Tree Pipit and a Whitethroat on Castle Hill, a Willow Warbler along South Cliff and a Spotted Flycatcher in Hundale were new in.
At Wykeham South Lake there were 7 Egyptian Geese, 6 Ringed Plover, 4 Little Ringed Plover and 4 Dunlin and 2 Dunlin were on Scalby Lodge Pond.
On the move (north unless stated) were 2 Red-throated Diver, 1 Cormorant + 3 south, 4 Shelduck, 10 Lapwing west, 1 Whimbrel, 4 Swift and 8 Swallow.
