At
Long Nab we had 60 Canada Geese (S), a Sooty Shearwater (N), 12 Manx Shearwater
(S), 2 Golden Plover (S), 2 Knot (S), 19 Sandwich Terns, 26 Common Terns, 4
Arctic Terns, 5 Great Skua (N), 5 Arctic Skuas (3 S, 2 N), a juvenile Long-tailed Skua (N) at 06.15, 5
Swallows (N), 9 House Martins (N) and around the fields a Wheatear and a Yellow
Wagtail.
Also
today 41 Oystercatchers in Jackson’s Bay; a Little Egret was on Johnson’s
Marsh; 2 Mediterranean Gulls at Scalby Mills (the PNN5 adult back for its 5th
autumn/winter and a 2cy) and at Scalby Nab a Whimbrel, 8 Curlew, 9 Turnstones,
16 Redshank, 2 Common Terns and 25 Sandwich Terns.
