Tuesday 16th November
A pair of Bullfinches were in a Ravenscar garden this morning, and a Razorbill was in the harbour entrance. The Cattle Egret was again seen around the central ditch and field south of Seamer Tip Pool, along with a Little Egret. 9 Pink-footed Geese were with Canada Geese in the fields at Star Carr, while about 60 more flew south over Wrench Green. 3 Woodcock, 3 Chiffchaffs and 2 Snow Buntings flew along South Cliff, and 2 Mistle Thrush were at the south side of Cloughton Tearoom. A Snow Bunting was in the stubble field at Long Nab, and 2 more plus 272 Siskins and 2 Bramblings flew south there, while a Woodcock arrived in off the sea. A Purple Sandpiper was in Burniston Bay and 20 were on the end of East Pier. A Dipper and 20 Ringed Plover were at Scalby Mills and a drake Common Scoter was in North Bay. A Great White Egret was seen at Ruston Bridge, and a Snow Bunting was briefly at Wykeham South Lake before flying off south-east.
