Water Rails, a Blackcap, a Goosander, 3 Goldeneye and 35 Tufted Duck. 48 Goldfinches were seen in Falsgrave Park, and 19 Curlew were feeding in the stubble above Cayton Bay. Passing Long Nab north by midday were 2 Pale-bellied Brent Geese (which had flown south earlier), a
Velvet Scoter, 3 Eider (plus 2 south), and 2
Great Northern Divers. A
Peregrine was seen chasing an incoming Woodcock (without success) over Burton Riggs, and a Dipper was in Peasholm Glen under Manor Road Bridge.
