A Pallid Swift was seen this afternoon at Long Nab and over Cloughton Wyke moving north. It was again seen feeding along the cliffs just north of Long Nab for 5 minutes before returning north. A Yellow-browed Warbler was in the Ringing Plantation and 142 Little Gulls passed Long Nab today (131N, 11S). A Kingfisher was at The Open Air Theatre, a Water Rail was at Seamer Road Mere along with a female Goldeneye and nine Little Grebe and 12 Purple Sandpipers were at the East Pier high tide roost. A Rock Pipit was on the rock armour there and a Red-throated Diver was close in. Nine Whooper Swans flew south over North Bay and possibly the same group were flying south off Marine Drive. A Swift sp flew south over the sea and then flew in off over Cornelian. 130 Wigeon, one Kingfisher, one Grey Wagtail, and a Rock Pipit were at Scalby Mills. 57 Pink-footed Geese flew south over Crossgates and 10 Curlews were in a field off Ravenhall Road, Ravenscar. A Little Egret was on rocks at the north end of Cayton Bay. Two Goldeneye, four Pochard, two Gadwall and 19 Tufted Duck were at Wykeham Water Sports Lake.
