A
Tundra Bean Goose was found this morning, being seen in the field by the track
to Scalby Lodge Pond and in the fields south and west of Johnson’s Marsh where
there was also 120 Wigeon and 10 Curlew.
The
Black-necked Grebe was in the harbour again and today the Great Northern Diver
had returned as well, also the Black Redstart was seen again on the sea
defences and a Red-throated Diver was close in shore.
No
Waxwings today but a Mistle Thrush had laid claim to the berries on the trees
outside B&Q.
There
were 2 Green Sandpipers on Thornton Carr, 4 adult Mediterranean Gulls at
Holbeck and in Cornelian Bay a Shelduck, Grey Plover, 7 Ringed Plover and 13
Purple Sandpipers.
