Friday 29th October
A Water Rail was brought into an Eastfield house by a cat, fortunately released unharmed. Four Snow Buntings on the top of the cliffs at Scalby Nab. Also two Snow Buntings in fields at Long Nab where the Lapland Bunting and 3 Twite were still present. A Wood Lark flew south-west with 3 Skylarks and a Short-eared Owl flew in off the sea there and continued westwards inland. At Wykeham Lakes: 2 Whooper Swans (Water Park), 6 Egyptian Geese(4 goslings), 26 Wigeon, 2 Little Grebes, 17 Cormorants, 1 Lapwing. 150 Starling around the coucil depot on Dean Road. 185 Lapwing near Ancat Farm.
