Whooper Swans were on the move over the sea today: 79 (49+30) flew north past White Nab., also 130 Meadow Pipits flew north. At Wykeham Lakes: six Little Ringed Plovers (East Lake), a Dunlin, Green Sandpiper, Oystercatcher, 3 Snipe, 14 Teal, Gadwall, 4 Common Scoter (one male) on Water Sports Lake, 13 Goldeneye, Pink-footed Goose, 2 Great Crested Grebes, Great White Egret, Barn Owl, 4 Lbb Gulls, 2 Grey Partridge, 2 Sand Martins, Marsh Tit, Willow Warbler, 8 Yellowhammers. Two Great White Egrets at Ruston Carr, flew towards Potter Brompton Carr. Thirty Whooper Swans flew NW at Cayton. A Willow Warbler and 45 Yellowhammers at Thornton Carrs. A Red Kite flew south over Eastfield, also one over the A64 near Scampston plus one near Ganton. A Little Egret near Brompton.
