Belated news of a pair of Garganey at Potter Brompton Carr on 10th April.
The first Whitethroats arrived today; one at Long Nab and three along the cliffs between Jackson's Bay and Cromer Point. Highlights past Long Nab included 28 Common Scoter, 14 Sandwich Terns, 14 Red-throated Divers, 4 Manx Shearwaters. At Potter Brompton Carr: Little Egret, 2 Great White Egrets, Golden Plover, Marsh Harrier, 36 Swallows, 20 Sand Martins, House Martin. A Grey Plover briefly at Wykeham Lakes. Also there were 2 Little Ringed Plovers, Pink-footed Goose, 2 Common Scoter, Pochard, Dunlin, 2 Yellow Wagtails, 16 Swallows, 50 Sand Martins, 3 Reed Warblers, Cetti's Warbler. Single Wheatears at Marine Drive and Cromer Point. The singing Redstart was still at Scar Wood, also Green Woodpecker and Redwing. At Harwood Dale Lake: Green Sandpiper, Snipe, 2 Oystercatchers, 6 Teal.
