A big movement of Pink-footed Geese southbound over the area: a total of 2,390 were seen from Long Nab , Burniston this afternoon moving south and south-west and no doubt accounted for numerous sightings this afternoon. Little Egret and 3 Eiders also south there. At Wykeham Lakes: Shelduck, 6 Wigeon, 2 Egyptian Geese (with 5 young), 115 Lapwing. A male Merlin flew west over Burniston village.
