Singing Quails were noted in a field south side of Rocks Lane, Long Nab, Wrench Green and off Great Moor Road, Hutton Buscel. A Hooded Crow and 72 Sand Martins passed south at Long Nab and 253 Common Scoter passed north there. A drake Eider was on the sea below Long Nab. Three Green Sandpipers at Northstile Pool were an early sign of return passage. A EUROPEAN BEE EATER, or plural thereof ,was heard on four occasions just inland of Cornelian this morning but could not be visually located. Two broods of three Stonechats were along South Cliff and two Red Kites were seen from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint.
