Friday 19th November
A Stonechat was on the eastern side of Seamer Tip, 40 Fieldfares were at Star Carr, 20 Siskins were at Metes Lane, and the Cattle Egret was again in the field south of Seamer Tip pool this morning. Passing Long Nab heading south were 252 Pink-footed Geese, 2 Mediterranean Gulls, 274 Siskins and 56 Linnets; while 2 Eiders, 970 Woodpigeons and 14 Stock Doves passed by northwards. A Jay was seen at the Open Air Theatre and a Dipper at Scalby Mills. Marsh Harriers were seen behind Burton Riggs heading towards Crossgates, while at the harbour there were 15 Purple Sandpipers and 42 Turnstones. 9 Crossbills and a Willow Tit were in the Crosscliffe area of Dalby forest. A Raven flew north over Crossgates.
