39 Pink-footed Geese flew west over Stepney early this morning, and later 80+ flew south-west over Cayton Bay. The Cattle Egret was again in fields below Seamer Tip pool, a Little Egret was at Folkton Bridge, and an unidentified egret plus a Red-throated Diver passed Long Nab southwards. A Woodcock was flushed in Cornelian Ravine. Highlights from Long Nab include 19 Eider, 79 Pink-footed Geese and a Mediterranean Gull heading north, and a Little Egret, 248 Siskins, 4 Bramblings and 4 Snow Buntings heading south. At Wykeham 16 Wigeon, 16 Teal and a Great Spotted Woodpecker were at East Lake where 12 Siskins flew over south, while 2 Whooper Swans, 2 Goldeneye, 20 Wigeon, 5 Little Grebes, and 6 Egyptian Geese were at South Lake. At Scarborough Mere there were 9 Little Grebes, 139 Moorhens, 70 Coot, 27 Tufted Duck, and a second winter Mediterranean Gull was on the jetty.
