Sunday 28th March
Lots of Chiffchaffs seen and heard again today. A Shoveler was at Seamer Tip pool and the Black Redstart was again in the field beyond, north of the gorse bushes. 7 Whooper Swans were in the field opposite the entrance to Holme Farm, Low Marishes, and a Red Kite was seen drifting south over Thornton Dale. 3 Bar-tailed Godwits and 4 Fieldfare flew south past Long Nab this morning, and 23 Oystercatchers, 5 Purple Sandpipers and 11 Curlew were seen south of Holbeck. At least 2 Great Northern Divers remain between South Bay and Cornelian Bay.
