New migrants found during the day included a male Red-backed Shrike on South Cliff, just to the south of Holbeck car park which remained in the area all day and an Icterine Warbler in song at Long Nab, the 205th species of the year! Also noted was a 'Northern' Golden Plover at Long Nab and a Wheatear behind Marine Drive Wall.
Elsewhere 2 Honey Buzzard were seen from the Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint, a Quail was heard on Star Carr, 2 Gadwall, a Teal, 2 Redshank and a Cuckoo were at Flotmanby Carr, the adult Whooper Swan, 2 Egyptian Geese and 4 Shoveler were on Potter Brompton Carr (no general access) and 4 Ringed Plover and 2 Dunlin were on Wykeham South Lake.
