Continental rubicola type Stonechat Gristhorpe Cliffs

A Stonechat present at Gristhorpe Cliffs on 4th April found by Dave Bywater showed some good characters associated with the Continental race of Stonechat. The white rump was very obvious as was the restricted orange on the underparts. Pale underwing coverts show in the photographs ruling out an Eastern Stonechat sp.
Not present today but three Ring Ouzels were along the cliffs there!
