Sunday 11th May 2014

Another generally quiet day, at Seamer Tip there were 2 Gadwall, 10 Sedge Warbler and a Reed Warbler, 21 Whimbrel and 2 Wheatear were at Star Carr, a Pink-footed Goose, 9 Egyptian Geese, a Pochard, 4 Little Ringed Plover, a Ringed Plover, 4 Dunlin and 2 Wheatear were at Wykeham South Lake and at Potter Brompton Carr (no general access) were 2 Egyptian Geese, a Whooper Swan, 2 Gadwall, a Shoveler, 3 Sedge Warbler and a Reed Warbler.
On the move (north unless stated) were 1 Great Northern Diver which returned south, 8 Fulmar, 1 Manx Shearwater (first of the year), 267 Gannet + 37 north, 3 Shelduck, 6 Common Scoter south, 2 Whimbrel, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 239 Kittiwake, 1 Sandwich Tern south, 240 Auk sp, 15 Swallow + 7 south, 2 House Martin south, 2 Carrion Crow + 15 south and 9 Linnet + 6 south.
