A Black Redstart, the first of the year, feeding in gardens near St Marys Church on Castle Hill was the highlight of a very quiet day, other migrants seen between Castle Hill and Cornelian Bay were singles of Meadow Pipit, Grey Wagtail, Chiffchaff and 3 Goldcrest.
Many more Chiffchaff were reported from inland sites, 8 Golden Plover were on Fylingdales and 15 Purple Sandpiper were in the Harbour.
