An arrival of Chiffchaff over night was probably the only interest of the day with 14 reported, most were singing birds from inland locations but coastal sightings included 3 at Long Nab 1 in the Open Air Theatre and 1 in Cornelian Bay.
Elsewhere 8 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Egyptian Goose, 50+ Wigeon, 18 Tufted Duck, 10 Oystercatcher, 2 Curlew and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull were on Wykeham Lakes, 39 Wigeon were at Scalby Mills also at Long Nab was a Goldcrest and 2 Goldcrest were in Cornelian Bay.
On the move (north unless stated) were 20 Fulmar + 2 south, 1 Gannet south, 22 Cormorant + 5 south, 1 Common Buzzard south, 3 Oystercatcher, 2 Black-headed Gull + 64 south, 5 Common Gull + 109 south, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 80 Herring Gull + 122 south, 5 Great Black-backed Gull + 16 south, 1 Auk sp south, 9 Skylark south, 6 Meadow Pipit south, 3 Alba + 8 south, 2 Redwing, 7 Carrion Crow, 2 Starling south, 1 Chaffinch, 1 Goldfinch south, 3 Siskin + 1 south, 5 Linnet + 38 south.
