The main interest of the day was mostly over the sea, on the move (north unless stated) were 2 Red-throated Diver + 1 south, 1 Great Northern Diver, 37 Fulmar, 40 Gannet + 30 south, 4 Cormorant + 2 south, 5 Pink-footed Geese, 1 Mallard, 2 Common Scoter + 5 south, 6 Dunlin, 8 Black-headed Gull south, 1 Common Gull + 28 south, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 374 Herring Gull, 20 Great Black-backed Gull, 8 Kittiwake south, 93 Auk sp + 3 south, 1 Alba south and 5 Chaffinch.
Elsewhere 5 Red-throated Diver, 13 Common Scoter, 6 Kittiwake and 1 Guillemot were in South Bay, 5 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Egyptian Goose and 88 Wigeon were on Wykeham South Lake, 114 Lapwing and 2 Dunlin were on Flotmanby Carr, 16 Purple Sandpiper were in the Harbour and a Lapland Bunting was at Long Nab.
Some late news concerns a male Hen Harrier hunting over Fylingdales Moor yesterday where there were 40 Fieldfare and 10 Redwing.
