Migration watch; 09.10 - 13.00hrs.
New migrants continued to turn up along the coast although it remained hard work in the fog.
Between Long Nab and Cornelian Bay were 10 Kestrel (Castle), 13 Golden Plover, 2 Snipe, 31 Robin, 1 Redstart (Castle), 4 Wheatear, 1 Whinchat, 14 Song Thrush, 17 Blackbird, 1 siberian type Lesser Whitethroat (Holbeck), 4 Whitethroat, 3 Garden Warbler (Scalby Beck), 8 Blackcap, 1 Yellow-browed Warbler (Long Nab), 4 Willow Warbler, 14 Chiffchaff, 8 Goldcrest, 3 Spotted Flycatcher, 3 Red-breasted Flycatcher (2 Long Nab plus a new bird at Holbeck), 1 Greenfinch and 6 Siskin.
Elsewhere 16 Wigeon were on Johnson's Marsh a Greenshank was at Scalby Mills and 20 Dunlin, 7 Sanderling, 6 Ringed Plover were in North Bay.
Heading south (unless stated) were 1 Pink-footed Goose, 20 Teal north, 9 Wigeon north, 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Snipe and 11 Meadow Pipit.
