A Great Northern Diver was in the harbour this morning. A mixed flock of three Redpoll, 15 Siskin and four Goldfinch visited a Burniston garden and two Little Egrets were at Brompton Ponds/Butts. A Red Kite at Jugger Howe headed east over the A171. A vocal Green Woodpecker at Low North Camp along with 10 Siskin and three Lapwing at Harwood Dale Lake. 14 drake and four duck Mandarin at Hackness Lake and a pair of Mandarin, two Gadwall and 12 Redwing at Troutsdale by the bridge. On a lake south of Harwood Dale viewed from Reasty Bank: 49 Lapwing, nine Teal, 26 Wigeon and 30 Canada Geese.

A pair of Bullfinch in a Throxenby garden and single Grey Wagtail and Pied wagtail at Glen Gardens playground. A Great White Egret and two Little Egret at Brompton Ponds per FB. At Dalby/Haygate late afternoon: 17 Crossbill, seven Bullfinch, six Redwing, three Common Buzzard, two Marsh Tit and a Nuthatch.

A Great White Egret was west of Ruston Carr bridge and a Lapwing was at Scalby Mills. A Goshawk was at the most north eastern part of Harwood Dale Forest and 11 Pink- Footed Geese flew over south west. Five Curlew, 20 Redwing and three Mistle Thrush around Ravenscar radar station and 30 Pink-Footed Geese flew west over Gristhorpe. One Brambling, 30 Greenfinch and 20 Chaffinch with other finches at Potter Brompton Carr. Three Mediterranean Gulls (1W, 2W and adult) at Holbeck. A Hawfinch reported from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint and two Barn Owls Long Nab area.

At least 12 Crossbills in Wykeham Forest above Wrench Green, some singing, also two Marsh Tit and Treecreeper. A pair of Grey Wagtails at Ox Pasture. At Wilton and farmland north to the ridge trees, 110 Skylark, 150 Linnet, 15 Goldfinch, seven Greenfinch, seven Yellowhammer, one Tree Sparrow and one Reed Bunting. Stock Doves were in gardens at Stepney (1) and Burniston (3). Six each of Goldfinch and Siskin in a Burniston garden. A male Hen Harrier was at Potter Brompton Carr this morning. The Red-necked Grebe again on the Water Sports Lake at North Yorkshire Water Park. The two Bar-tailed Godwits remained with approximately 30 Oystercatchers at Cayton Bay. Little Egrets were at Cayton Carr and Ellerburn, with six Crossbill and four Cormorant at the latter site. Two Bullfinch in a Burniston garden and two Razorbill off Marine Drive. 12 Woodcock and four Water Rail around Seamer Tip/Star Carr and three Shoveler (two drakes) at Seamer Tip Pools.

The Red-necked Grebe still on the Water Sports Lake at Wykeham Lakes. The Cormorant roost on the island held 42 individuals at dusk, also present were 18 Goldeneye and a Pochard. The gull roost (mostly on East Lake) held 60 Black-headed, 430 Common and 260 Herring. Little Egret and Shoveler at Johnson's Marsh. The two Bar-tailed Godwits were still with Oystercatchers in fields near the surf shop. A Kingfisher at Throxenby Mere. At Star Carr: Great White Egret, Little Egret, Snipe, 2 Grey Partridge. 49 Pink-footed Geese flew north past Long Nab, a single Golden Plover flew south. A Puffin in North Bay, 2 Razorbills, 2 Guillemots off Marine Drive.

A Great Skua flew south at Long Nab, Goldeneye flew north. A flock of 500+ finches at Ellerburn had 7+ Brambling, and 200+ Chaffinches, Greenfinches and Yellowhammers. An amazing 600 Skylarks and 300 Chaffinches in stubble fields north of Thornton-le-Dale. 11 Pink-footed Geese east over Seamer tip plus 22 at Salt Pans Road, Cloughton. Also 6 Redwing, Grey Wagtail and 400 Woodpigeons there. At Low Marishes: 10 Mute Swans, Golden Plover, 360 Lapwing, 5 Grey Partridge, 32 Fieldfare, 78 Redwing, 3 Common Buzzards. The Red-necked Grebe was still at Wykeham East Lake, also around the complex were 13 Goldeneye, 7 Common Snipe, Water Rail, 15 Fieldfare, 3 Redwings. Two Shoveler still at Johnson's Marsh. Two Great White Egrets, 2 Little Egrets, 100 Golden Plover, 60 Lapwing, Peregrine at Potter Brompton Carr.

At Seamer Road Mere: 2 Little Grebes, drake Pochard, 2 Gadwall, Goosander, 5 Goldeneye, and Water Rail. The pair of Shoveler still at Johnson's Marsh plus a Goosander roosted there. Six Ringed Plovers at Scalby Mills. The Great Northern Diver spent some time in the harbour today. A drake Pochard at Peasholm Park late, the Dipper still in Peasholm Glen. Eight Little Egrets at Cayton Carrs. Six Lesser Redpolls, 4 Willow Tits, 3 Marsh Tits at Wrench Green. Ten Fulmars at Castle Cliffs. Nuthatch near Cloughton Church plus one in Peasholm Glen. The Red-necked Grebe still at Wykeham East Lake, plus a drake Pintail. Three Whooper Swans on the carrs below Snainton. Two Egyptian Geese, Great White Egret, 2 Little Egrets, 300 Greylag Geese (plus 650 flying around to west), 6 Mute Swans, 2 Marsh Harriers at Potter Brompton Carr.
