Migration watch; 07.25 – 11.50hrs and 18.40 – 19.40hrs.
On the move (south unless stated) were 12 Wigeon north, 7 Teal + 3 north, 52 Common Scoter + 392 north, 1 Red-throated Diver, 2 Fulmar north, 13 Manx Shearwater + 2 north, 2 Cormorant + 2 north, 5 Whimbrel, 40 Curlew + 9 north, 15 Black-headed Gull north, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 10 Sandwich Tern + 2 north, 1 Little Tern north at 10.10hrs, 12 Puffin + 15 north, 424 Swift, 3 Swallow, 1 House Martin, 7 Starling and 1 Corn Bunting south after pausing on wires briefly.
Six Black-headed Gull were in Burniston Bay, 2 Tufted Duck were on Johnson’s Marsh and a drake Shoveler was seen flying round Crossgates.
