On The Mere this morning 12 Goosanders, 48 Tufted
Duck, 2 Little Grebes and a Water Rail also 29 Moorhen, 48 Mute Swans and 12
Bullfinches.
On Folkton Carr today 6 Little Egrets, a Kingfisher,
1900+ Lapwings, a maximum 170+ Golden Plover and a male Peregrine.
A single Fieldfare was at St. Mary’s Church during the
afternoon.
It has been brought to our attention that the Ring
Ouzel currently around Brompton-by-Sawdon was first seen distantly on the 7th
January.
