A nice discovery this afternoon on Cayton Carr was a
small group of Geese, only six birds but three different species, 3 Pink-footed
Geese, 2 White-fronted Geese and a single Tundra Bean Goose.
At Brompton-by-Sawdon the Ring Ouzel was still present but at times it was ranging more
widely than before and was seen this afternoon in the sheep field by West End
Farm also in Brompton there were at least 12 Hawfinches seen today around the churchyard.
At Wykeham South Lake the Great White Egret was seen again and also a pair of Pintail, 3
Goldeneye and 7 Great Crested Grebes.
