5 pairs of Goosander were on The Mere and 2♂1♀ were on Throxenby Mere where there were also 2 pairs of Tufted Ducks. On Hackness Lake we had 3 Mandarin Ducks, 3 Tufted Ducks and a Coot, so continuing with the waterfowl theme on Harwood Dale Lake a pair of Mandarins, a Shelduck, 2♀Goosanders, 4 Wigeon and c25 Teal; an Eider feeding on the sea off the Holbeck Car Park and at Wykeham South Lake 3 Shelduck, a ♂Pintail and 100+ Wigeon.

At Brompton-by-Sawdon the Ring Ouzel was still in the fields opposite the Church and at least 3 Hawfinches were seen here today and a bit further out of town at Thornton-le-Dale 5+ Hawfinches were reported around the churchyard.

Other sightings today included a Jack Snipe near Seamer Tip, 5+ Mediterranean Gulls at Holbeck and 350 Fieldfares on Willerby Carr.
