The Great Northern Diver and 2 Great White Egrets were again present at Wykeham South Lake this morning, though the former flew off just after midday and there was no sign of the Egrets by then either. Also on the lake were 6 Gadwall, 2 Pochard, 28 Tufted Ducks, 7 Goldeneye and 8 Great Crested Grebes. 70 Lesser Redpolls were seen in birch trees near Darrell's Low Farm, and 3+ Bramblings on Long Causeway Road. A Great Grey Shrike was again spotted in Langdale Forest at May Moss. At high tide this afternoon there were 6 Mediterranean Gulls (5 adults and a third calendar year) at Holbeck, and there were 6 Red-throated Divers in North Bay and one in South Bay.
