The years fourth Wood Warbler was found today in song in the Forest above Wrench Green. Elsewhere 2 Honey Buzzard and a Hobby were seen from the Raptor Viewpoint and the Grasshopper Warbler was still along Rocks Lane.
Past Long Nab (south unless stated) were 9 Fulmar + 6 north, 1 Grey Heron southwest, 7 Greylag Goose north, 2 Shelduck, 20 Common Scoter + 28 north, 2 Sanderling north, 1 Redshank, 2 Black-headed Gull north, 3 Common Gull + 1 north, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 130 Auk sp + 40 north, 2 Puffin + 1 north, 244 Swift + 20 north, 3 Sand Martin, 6 Swallow, 4 House Martin, 2 Jackdaw, 2 Carrion Crow + 4 north and 1 Goldfinch.

Also of interest the first Minke Whale of the year was seen 4 miles of Long Nab and is hopefully the beginning of another good year for them in the area.
