Wednesday 27th September

The Eastern Olivaceous Warbler was still present in "Pipe Gully" at Long Nab, and entertained the crowds all day, still there early evening. The first Redwing of autumn was at Long Nab this morning, a Grey Plover and Common Sandpiper in Burniston Bay. The Barred Warbler at Scalby Lodge was also seen by many visiting birders today, mostly in Trough Gully (2nd gully north of Scalby Lodge Pond). 4 Grey Plovers were in Jackson's Bay. The three Ruddy Shelduck were still at East Lake, NY Water Park, also there an Egyptian Goose, 2 Shoveler, 29 Wigeon, 38 Teal, and 9 Dunlin flew through. 63 Teal at Johnson's Marsh. Nine Wigeon at Scalby Mills.
