Friday 2nd - Saturday 3rd May 2014

Two rather slow days, the 2nd produced 4 Whimbrel at Potter Brompton Carr (no general access) and 2 Blackcap, 4 Whitethroat, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Willow Warbler and 8 Chiffchaff between Valley Road and South Cliff.
The 3rd was at least a little more lively, at Potter Brompton Carr there were 2 Egyptian Geese, 2 Shelduck, a Shoveler, a Snipe, a Wheatear and a Sedge Warbler, a Shoveler was on Beacon Ponds, 2 Wheatear were on Inn Moor, 11 Wheatear were at Ravenscar and a Turtle Dove was in Broxa Forest.
On the move (south unless stated) were 5 Common Scoter, 2 Black-headed Gull, 2 Common Gull north, 80 Kittiwake north, 6 Sandwich Tern, 3 Swallow, 1 Flava, 5 Carrion Crow north and 2 Chaffinch.
