Unfortunately the Hoopoe wasn't re-found despite there being more than one pair of eyes looking.
There was certainly less evidence today of grounded migrants, new in were Wheatears behind Marine Drive Wall and at Ravenscar, a Grasshopper Warbler near Bent Rigg Lane, Ravenscar and a Wood Warbler by Valley Road Duck Pond.
A single Honey Buzzard was seen displaying from the Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint while at Wykeham South Lake there were 9 Egyptian Geese, 6 Ringed Plover, 2 Dunlin, a second summer Yellow-legged Gull and 120 Swift, 2 singing Reed and 3 singing Sedge Warbler were by Straits Lane.
On the move (north unless stated) were 1 Grey Heron, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Honey Buzzard northwest over Cayton at 12.14hrs, 3 Sandwich Tern, 18 Swift south, 49 Swallow south, 8 House Martin south and 4 Linnet south.
