A very quiet start to the Month with slightly fewer migrants along the coast compared to yesterday, between Castle Hill and South Cliff were 4 Wheatear, 5 Blackcap, 3 Whitethroat, 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 10 Chiffchaff and 2 Willow Warbler.
It was much quieter over the sea too, although Barnacle Geese were clearly still up to something, passing (south unless stated) were 86 Gannet + 20 north, 200 Barnacle Geese + 2 north, 2 Common Scoter north, 2 Common Gull north, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gull north, 2 Great Black-backed Gull north, 8 Sandwich Tern + 1 north and 59 Auk sp + 16 north.
Elsewhere 3 Common Scoter were on Wykeham South Lake, 19 Purple Sandpiper and 26 Turnstone were in the Harbour, a Bar-tailed Godwit and 20 Whimbrel were on Star Carr and 2 Bar-tailed Godwit and a Green Sandpiper were on Scalby Lodge Pond.
