18 Waxwings were seen feeding on West Garth, Cayton this morning and resting up in trees at the end of South Lea Road. These birds were rather jumpy and didn’t hang around for long with the last report at 10.05.

Also in the Harbour/South Bay area there were 2 Great Northern Divers and a Black-necked Grebe plus a Long-tailed Duck and 3 Common Scoter. In North Bay the Stonechat and the Black Redstart were still on the rocks opposite the Albert Café.

At least one Water Rail and the Kingfisher continued their sojourn to the Open Air Theatre whilst at other locations there were 2 Bramblings at the Forge Valley feeders, at Cockmoor Hall car park 20 Bramblings and 12 Siskin, 20+Mandarin Ducks and 12+ Teal at Hilla Green and 80 Lapwing at Harwood Dale.
