At Wykeham Lakes 2 Lapwing, 212 Greylag Geese and 5 Egyptian Geese were on East Lake, while on a rather choppy South Lake there were 2 Great Crested Grebes, 68 Canada Geese, 2 Greylag Geese, 12 Cormorants, a Goldeneye, 6 Tufted Duck, 35 Coot and a Grey Heron. 2 Knot, 3 Mediterranean Gulls and a Lesser Black-backed Gull were at Black Rocks, while 2 Red-throated Divers were in North Bay close in to the beach. By mid-afternoon a third Red-throated Diver was in North Bay, 140 Wigeon were at Scalby Mills, a Kingfisher flew north over the sea defence rocks by the skate park, 3 Guillemots were off Marine Drive, and 10 Purple Sandpipers were roosting at the harbour. A Red Kite was seen hunting low over Lowdales.
