Tuesday 3rd November

 This morning 30 Whooper Swans flew west over Fylingdales Moor, groups of 5 and 6 were seen flying south over Scarborough Castle, and 15 flew south through South Cliff. Also heading south at South Cliff were 3 Lapland Buntings and 3 Snow Buntings, while a Willow Warbler and 3 Blackcaps were still in Cornelian Ravine and a Yellow-browed Warbler remained in Holbeck Ravine. At Wykeham Lakes in the morning there were 12 more Whooper Swans, plus a Little Egret, 5 Goldeneye, 16 Lesser Redpoll, 28 Siskin, about 200 Greylags, 4 Egyptian Geese, about 120 Canada Geese, while skeins of 120 and 70 Pink-footed Geese flew over southwards. In the afternoon 180 Lapwings, 3 Shovelers, a Gadwall, 6 Great Crested Grebes, another 42 Lesser Redpoll, 6 Marsh Tits, 2 Treecreepers and a Great White Egret were present, while another 90 Pink-footed Geese flew over. At Long Nab 4 Lapland Buntings were again in the stubble field, and a Snipe and a Stonechat were at the scrape. 3 Twite, 62 Linnets, 16 Reed Buntings and a single Corn Bunting were with about 130 Tree Sparrows at the end of Station Lane. A further 32 Tree Sparrows and a Sparrowhawk were at Crook Ness and about 60 Pink-footed Geese flew over south. 10 Ringed Plover were at Scalby Mills and a Wheatear was on Marine Drive.
