Christmas Day

A drake Shoveler was at Scalby Mills this morning and the Great Northern Diver remained at the harbour. At Seamer Road Mere there were 43 Tufted Duck, 2 Goldeneye, 12 Little Grebes, 2 Gadwall, 3 Water Rails and a Kingfisher. The Cattle Egret remains in the field south of Seamer Tip pool, a Woodcock was flushed from scrub at Burton Riggs, and 150+ Fieldfare and 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers were at Carr Farm, Wykeham. A Chiffchaff was spotted in Woodlands Ravine, while in the Haygate area of Dalby Forest there were 15 Lesser Redpoll, 8 Crossbills, about 50 Fieldfare and about 59 Redwing. Merry Chrstmas!
