Wednesday 10th July

 The Quail was still occasionally singing at Long Nab. South past there were 3 Whimbrel, 28 Redshank, and Arctic Skua. North were a Mediterranean Gull, 43 Sandwich Terns (many juveniles), and a Great Skua. The Great White Egret was still at Seamer Road Mere, were there were three Tufted Duck broods of 2 + 6 + 7 ducklings. 58 Black-headed Gulls were on flood water near Burniston. Two Wood Sandpipers were still at Potter Brompton Carr, also 3 Green Sandpipers, Hobby, 8 Little Egrets, and an increase in Black-headed Gulls to 45.
