 A Water Rail and Common Snipe at the scrape at Long Nab and two Lapwing in the stubble field there. Nine Gannet south offshore. Good numbers of singing Crossbills in Langdale Forest. A Barn Owl at Long Causeway, approximately 200 Lapwing on flooded fields adjacent to the A64 at Staxton opposite Stockdales and a flock of over 400 Wood Pigeon over Jacob's Mount. The Red-Necked Grebe on the Water Sports Lake at North Yorkshire Water Park along with a Great White Egret, two Shelduck, 16 Goldeneye, five Little Grebe, three Great Crested Grebe and two Gadwall. 15 Crossbill and three Common  Buzzard at Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint, plus Willow Tit, Dipper and good numbers of Crossbill at Dalby Forest. 20+ Crossbill,, with several singing, and a pair of Willow Tit at Penny Howe, Harwood Dale Forest. At Broxa Forest this morning: approximately 10 Crossbills, seven Siskin, one Marsh Tit, 17 Coal Tit and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. At Potter Brompton Carr north of Hay Bridge this afternoon: One Stonechat, three Grey Partridge, one Barn Owl, one Little Egret, 30 Lapwing, 60 Teal, c250 Starling, five Redwing and one Great Spotted Woodpecker. Two Marsh Tit and c20 Tree Sparrow at the feeders being the highlights.
